Hi, I’m Emily Kaskie, the founder of Ascend Home Improvement. After serving my community for 24 years as a firefighter with Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, I was ready to channel my passion for helping others into a new mission. It all started when a friend asked for help with a few small home projects—and I discovered how much joy I found in transforming spaces. By 2023, Ascend Home Improvement was born.

Home improvement has always been a part of my life. I grew up learning the trade from my father, who owned a remodeling business. After marrying my husband, David, we spent many years renovating and flipping homes on the side of our firefighting careers. Those hands-on experiences taught me the value of hard work, attention to detail, and creating spaces that truly work for the people who live in them.

At Ascend Home Improvement, I take pride in providing personalized, professional service tailored to your needs. Whether it’s custom storage solutions, expert painting, or minor repairs that make a big impact, my goal is to help you create a functional and beautiful space that is uniquely yours. With roots in Louisville and a deep connection to the community I serve, I’m here to take your house from “ho-hum” to “home."
